Bearded Dragons are tough creatures, but even with armor of scales they can be injured. Keep a bottle of BETADINE around to treat cuts or tail rot.

It kills germs and prevents infection, which can be deadly if left untreated.

 

Bearded Dragons need a tremendous amount of calcium. failure to properly supplement their meals with this,

Vitamin D3, Multivitamin, and provide proper lighting (UVB), will lead to MBD (Metabolic Bone Disease)

feeding high phosphorus/oxalate veggies will contribute as well. (see feeding)

 

Symptoms include

 

Tremors and/or Twitching

 

Weak & Lethargic

 

Loss of Appetite

 

Rubber Jaw/Softening of Facial Structure

 

Stunted Growth

 

Paralysis

 

Swelling in the Lower Jaw

 

Bone Fractures
